Description:
Form Seal is a high performance one component moisture
cure urethane that is ideally suited to coat porous wood or concrete
formwork. This abrasion and chemically resistant material forms a
tough waterproof film that will preserve the life of wood and
concrete forms.
Surface Preparation:
All surfaces must be clean and dry before
application.
Concrete: Prior to application of Form Seal prepare
surface with light dust blast or by acid wash. Rinse thoroughly and
allow to dry.
Wood: Sand rough wood to a smooth surface. If wood
grain rises after the first coat, sand lightly before applying
second coat.
Application Instructions:
Apply Form Seal by brush or roller. Two coats are
recommended for maximum protection.
First coat: On concrete, thin first coat one to
one with solvent (toluene, Xylene). On wood, thinning is not
necessary. Allow first coat to cure (typically 2 - 4 hours).
Second coat: For both wood and concrete, apply
material directly from container, no thinning is needed. Do not wait
more 24 hours to recoat as the first coat will become so hard it
will not allow a second coat to stick to it.
Coverage:
300 - 400 sq. ft. per gallon per coat.
Clean Up:
Clean all equipment with solvent immediately after
use.
Packaging:
Available in 5 gallon pails.
Storage:
Store indoor at room temperature.
Caution:
Withdraw only the amount of material you intend to
use. Close container immediately to prevent contact with air. Do not
pour unused material into container. Store unused material
separately and use with 24 hours.
Warning ! Flammable liquid and vapor. Causes eye
irritation. May be harmful if absorbed through the skin.
